Eco Tower Sdn Bhd
Eco Tower Sdn Bhd (Eco Tower), a wind tower manufacturer jointly-owned by private investors from Malaysia and Singapore and a few other foreign investors, intends to invest on a new manufacturing plant at the Gebeng Industrial Park that will have the capacity to produce about 800 wind towers annually for international market.
Once completed, the plant, which will occupy a vast land area of 21.85 hectares (53.96 acres), will have the capability to produce towers, flanges and nacelle structures.
The plant will also provide over 500 employment opportunities excluding other contracting and consulting jobs. It will also create a good platform to spin-off many local small and medium enterprises (SMEs) to invest in renewable energy both in diversification and strategic alliances. The plant is scheduled to open in the second half of 2010 and expected to commence its first production by the first quarter of 2011.
